By subscribing to any of the World News API plans offered on our website or on rapidapi.com or to a custom plan to which you are invited, you the API subscriber (“you”) confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms of Use outlined below. Failure to honor these terms will result in your use of the World News API being suspended and/or permanently blocked.
A World News API subscription grants you a nonexclusive, non-transferable license to use the World News API on a month-by-month basis dependent on your payment of the monthly fee associated with your subscription (and any additional charges due to exceeding the number of calls per day covered by your subscription) and on your agreement to respect these terms. You will be charged every month until you cancel your subscription under My Console > Plan/Billing or on RapidAPI's website, depending on where you subscribed.
You must agree to keep your World News API key confidential. If you post or commit code in a support forum, GitHub, etc., you must first remove the World News API key. If your World News API key is compromised and abused by an unauthorized user, you are responsible for its misuse and for any additional charges or harm incurred.
World News API reserves the right to include the World News API logo, links to World News API, and/or advertisements (e.g. links or images related to sponsors) in the World News API, including its widgets.
You may use the data provided by the World News API as part of your website, application, or other project, but you cannot use World News API data to create a site or application meant to provide the same experience as World News API. Should World News API determine that your website or application is attempting to compete with World News API’s website/apps or to drive traffic away from World News API in another way, you will no longer be allowed to use the World News API. In this case, however, you may reach out to us to discuss a possible business partnership.
You may not create the impression that your site or application is endorsed by World News API, nor may you use any World News API brands/logos to promote your site/app without prior permission. Again, please reach out if you would like to work more closely together - in some cases we may discount your World News API use. However, if you are invited by World News API to a free, custom plan for hackathons or academic use, then you must provide a backlink to our food API page (link above).
You may not scrape the World News API or in any way attempt to copy or store the information it provides, including any derived, hashed, or transformed data. With prior written permission from World News API, you may cache user-requested data to improve performance (for a maximum of 1 hour). After 1 hour, you must delete your cache and refresh the data via the World News API. If you stop using the World News API or if your access to the API is suspended for any reason, then you must delete all data you ever obtained from the World News API.
You may not resell any data received via the World News API.
You may use the World News API in order to compare the World News API to World News API competitors.
We reserve the right to discontinue the World News API or to withdraw your permission to use the World News API at any time for any reason without notice.
We may modify or amend these terms of use at any time without notice. It is your duty to read this page regularly (https://worldnewsapi.com/terms/). If for any reason you are unable to comply with any modification or change you must stop using the World News API Services, or, if applicable, cancel your subscription. You will be deemed to have accepted the terms of use as amended if you continue to use any of World News API Services after any amendments are posted on the Site.
World News API may immediately suspend access to the World News API and/or terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause. If you wish to terminate this Agreement you may do so by discontinuing use of the services. World News API will not be liable for any costs, expenses, or damages as a result of either party choosing to terminate this Agreement. Upon termination of this Agreement, you will promptly cease using the Services and Content.
You acknowledge that all title, intellectual property, and licensing rights to the content or data available through World News API Services is the property of the respective content owner and may be protected by applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties and subject to use restrictions under such laws or treaties. In all output, products or services provided to you, World News API expressly reserves any and all rights not specifically granted to you herein. Further, you understand that World News API may retain a copy of the metadata generated by the World News API Services. By generating metadata through World News API Services, you grant World News API a non-exclusive perpetual, sub-licensable, royalty-free license to that metadata.
If you believe that your own copyrighted work is accessible on the Service in violation of your copyright, you may provide our Designated Agent with a written communication as set forth in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) that contains the following written information:
A description identifying in sufficient detail the copyrighted work or intellectual property that you claim has been infringed so it may be accurately located using the URL. By using the World News API, you agree to assume all responsibility and risk of use of the World News API. World News API is not responsible or liable for any consequences that result from your use of the World News API and the content, materials, and information it contains.

Nothing in these Terms of Use shall be construed as creating an employer-employee relationship, a partnership, a joint venture, or any other type of business relationship without an express written agreement between the parties.
You represent and warrant that you have the necessary power and authority to enter into this Agreement. If you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of your employer or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind your employer or such entity to these Terms of Use. You will fully indemnify, hold harmless and defend World News API from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, actions, judgments, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees and costs) brought by a third party arising out of or in connection with your use of the World News API.
IN NO EVENT WILL World News API BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST PROFIT DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE API TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT IT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. All disputes arising out of or in connection with the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Indiana.
